Senior Center Manager (Part-time)
Under direction of the Elderly Nutrition Program (ENP) Director and the Area Agency on Aging Director, the Senior Center Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the senior center. The Senior Center Manager is responsible for ensuring a senior center experience that attracts participation of seniors daily by providing recreation, a daily hot meal, information and assistance, nutrition education, health promotion and more.
Daily duties include: assisting with the preparation of food, employing proper food service sanitation techniques and temperature control, assisting in the daily upkeep of facility cleanliness, including but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing counters and food preparation areas and cleaning dishes, supervising and training support staff in food service safety and facility upkeep, promoting strong center backup staff by recruiting and training center volunteers, performing administrative tasks as required, including preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports to the Elderly Nutrition Coordinator, planning center activities, filling in support gaps for food services and general upkeep of the facility when needed, maintaining accounts for petty cash, conducting outreach and public education and other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Activities planning experience preferred.
