OPELIKA — Get ready to sip, stroll and support local. Opelika Main Street is thrilled to announce the launch of the first-ever Downtown Opelika Coffee Crawl, taking place on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This inaugural event invites community members to experience the historic charm of downtown Opelika while supporting the small businesses that make up the heart of our city. Attendees will go on a self-guided tour through five of the district’s coffee stops: Market Street Coffee Shop, Pure Joy x Stinson Breads, The Well, Sidetrack and O Town.
“We wanted to create an event that celebrates our incredible local coffee culture while directly benefiting Opelika Main Street’s programs that promote the growth of our downtown,” said Kelsey Sullivan, executive director of Opelika Main Street. “This is more than just getting your caffeine fix; it’s a brand-new community tradition that showcases the talent and hospitality of our local business owners.”
Each ticket includes five signature samples, offering a curated mix of caffeinated favorites and refreshing non-caffeinated options to ensure there is something for everyone. Every ticket holder will also receive a limited-edition souvenir item to commemorate the occasion.
To make the day even more special, the Coffee Crawl coincides with the Downtown Opelika Spring Open House. While participants sip their way through the crawl, they are encouraged to explore the seasonal arrivals, special promotions and spring floral displays at downtown retail boutiques. It’s the perfect opportunity to refresh your home and wardrobe for the season while supporting the local economy.
The stakes are high for participating shops. At the end of the crawl, attendees will cast their votes to crown the first-ever “Coffee Crawl Champion.” The winner will receive the prestigious award, a title they can proudly display until the next annual crawl.
Tickets are available for $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the event (subject to availability). One hundred per cent of the proceeds from the Coffee Crawl go directly to Opelika Main Street, a nonprofit dedicated to the revitalization and promotion of Downtown Opelika.
Limited sponsorship opportunities remain available. Email info@opelikamainstreet.org to learn more about sponsoring your favorite shop for the day.
