ANNETTE H. CLANTON

It is with great sadness that the family of Annette H. Clanton, 88, of Dadeville, Alabama, announced her passing on April 15, 2025, at the Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, with her family at her side. She was born in Chambers County, Aug. 18, 1936.
She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Claude “Junior” Clanton; son Richard “Don” Garrett; two infant sons; parents Benjamin McKinley Hay and Winnie Georgia Aiken Hay; brothers Ralph and Wallace Hay and sister Gail Blankenship.
She is survived by son Wallace “Benny” Garrett of Dadeville, Alabama; daughter-in-law Rebecca Garrett of Alexander City, Alabama; sister Clara Mae Fant of LaFayette; brothers Phillip Wayne Hay of LaFayette; Ronnie (Nippie) Hay of Pensacola, Florida; seven grandchildren;17 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Annette was a loving mother and grandmother. She lived a full life and touched hearts with her vibrant personality and captivating tales of her adventures throughout her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at Shiloh Baptist Church Saturday, April 19, with the Revs. Darryl Shelton and Chuck Goodwin officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

YOLANDA EVETTE ALLEN BROOME
Mrs. Yolanda Evette Allen Broome, 59, of LaFayette died Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Lake Martin Community Hospital, Dadeville, Alabama. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Vines Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Cecelia Broome officiating. The remains lay in state at the chapel from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour. The interment was in the Essie J. Handy Memorial Cemetery in LaFayette. Mrs. Broome is survived by a devoted husband Caiaphas Broome of LaFayette; two daughters Brittany Broome of LaFayette and Cassie Broome of Stone Mountain, Georgia; two sisters Sephanie Collier of Auburn and Tara (Miguel) Aviles of Killeen, Texas; one aunt Annie Jacocks of McDonough, Georgia; one uncle Perry Torbert, of Camp Hill; mother-in-law Emma Dora Broome of LaFayette; two sisters-in-law Pastor Cecelia Broome of LaFayette and Marian Jones of Opelika; one brother-in-law Edward Lee (Laella) Broome of LaFayette and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
