The Opelika Kiwanis Club hosted John Ed Mathison last week. “He spoke on how sports have shaped his faith and the lessons he learned through the year,” the club said. The club will host Jamie Williams, athletics director for Opelika City Schools, on July 13.
Outgoing Auburn Rotary Club President Judd Langham passed the gavel to Incoming President Griffin McNeill at the club’s recent meeting. “Congratulations to Judd for a fantastic year of strong leadership,” the club said in a statement. “No doubt Griffin will take us to even higher levels of service. We had numerous past presidents attend our meeting to participate in the passing of the gavel ceremony.”
