C. Kirk Kaye of Lilburn, Georgia, was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on Sept. 12, 1960 and passed away at Piedmont East in Snellville, Georgia, on Oct. 25, 2021. He was 61 years old.

He was of the Baptist Faith. He graduated from Tyner High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Class of 1978. After his graduation he worked for 1st American Rental in Atlanta, Georgia, as vice president of operations. He opened his own business in Daytona Beach, Florida, called Gator Rents. They moved back to Atlanta where he was a franchise consultant for Buddy’s Home Furnishings. He really enjoyed being a spotter for Daytona International Speedway, and loved the Atlanta Braves. Kirk was an avid Tennessee Vols Fan and loved to play golf. He was the commissioner of the Greater Daytona Beach Fantasy Football League and coached softball and basketball for his children.

Kirk was preceded in death by his parents, Aurelia Kirk Kaye and Claude Virgil Kaye, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Cecilia Houston Kaye; daughter, Morgan Elizabeth Gouge; son, William Kirk Kaye; sister, Beth Kaye Whitfield (Phil); sister-in-law, Brenda Benda (Tom); brother-in-law, Tony Houston (Allen Baggs); mother and father-in-law, Cecil and Betty Houston; nephews, Richard Baird, Gregg Baird (Pryor), Cory Benda (Britney), Thomas Benda, Jr., and Ted Benda, several cousins, and other family members.

Visitation was held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Oct. 29, with the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Thad Endicott officiating. Interment followed at Town Creek Cemetery.

Kirk was a very loving, fun and generous man to all who knew him. He loved our Lord Jesus and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
