Mary Sue McDougald Watson of Opelika was born to the late E.C. and Lillian Holmes McDougald on Jan. 26, 1948 and passed away on Oct. 10, 2021. She was 73 years old.
She was an educator for over 40 years and a Member of Society Hill Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Art Watson (Somer) and Mac Watson (Kate); grandchildren, Trey Watson, Cooper Watson, Eli Watson, Colton Watson and Nathan Watson; brother, John Larry “Bo” McDougald (Angie); the father of their children, Terry Watson, as well as nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family received friends Tuesday, Oct. 12, in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life was held in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021 at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Fox and Pastor Steve MacInnis officiating.
