Nancy Darden Self, 71, of Opelika, Alabama, (formerly of Midfield and Hueytown) passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Wesley “Buster” Self; and her father, Fred Darden. Nancy is survived by beloved daughters, Lisa Self and Karen “KK” Self Burton and her husband, Jake; loving, spoiled grandsons, Wesley and Patrick Modling, Charlie and Joey Burton; mother, Frances Darden; and an abundance of relatives and friends.
Nancy enjoyed many activities with her fellow “Recycled Teenagers” and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed traveling, especially when Buster was with her. A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, July 9 at 1 p.m. at the Opelika SportsPlex Adult Activity Center. “May she rest in peace and rise in glory.”
