R C Cannon, 89 of Opelika, passed away March 29 at his residence. Visitation was from noon until 2 p.m. on April 1 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service 2 p.m. at Garden Hills Cemetery with Rev. Scott Roney officiating. He lived most of his live in Opelika and was a retired building contractor for the area.
Mr. Cannon is survived by his daughter Tammy Ann (Tim) May; sister Mildred C. Spriggs; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
