Thomas Sanford Still
Funeral service for Thomas Sanford Still, 59, of Ozark, was held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 29, at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. TheĀ Rev. Mark McCarty officiated. Visitation was from 1 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
Burial was at Shady Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Still passed away at Flowers Hospital in Dothan on April 25. He was born Feb. 1, 1956, in Opelika, Lee County.
Mr. Still had been a native of Opelika and lived in Ozark most of his adult life. He served the U.S. Army as a Green Beret Medical Specialist for six years. He later worked for Boeing Aircraft Corp., for a number of years.
He is predeceased by his father, Thomas Wesley Still, and is survived by two daughters, Rosemarie Armstrong, Jeanie Andrews; son, Wesley Still; mother, Ann Marie Tullos; sister, Susan (Chris) Ayers, brother, Chris (Denise) Humburg; and three grandchildren.

Stephanie Lynn Roop Mater
Memorial service for Stephanie Lynn (Roop) Mater, of Denver, Colo., will be held Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
Stephanie was a graduate of Enterprise High School, Enterprise, and Auburn University.Ā Following graduation from Auburn University, she became a Flight Attendant with Delta Airlines before resigning to become a homemaker and mother.Ā Stephanie was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.
Stephanie is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Ansley; and son, Adam; father and step-mother, Jim and Joy Roop of Union Grove; grandmother, Nancy Fuller of Huntsville; sister and brother-in-law, Cynthia and Joseph Morro of Huntsville; step-brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Shannon McLendon of Fairfax, Va.; step-sister and brother-in-law, Candace and James Harper of Arab; uncle, Roy Dickey of Opelika; uncle and aunt, Harold and Barbara Dickey of Montgomery; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved unconditionally.
Her mother, Linda; maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Olivia Dickey; paternal grandfather, Troy Roop; aunts, Katherine Saunders, Rebecca and Kathy; and uncles, Richard and Joseph, are predeceased.
The family has requested that any memorials be made in the form of a contribution to their favorite charity in Stephanieās name.

Osment
Funeral service for Margaret D. Osment, 75, of Opelika was held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 27, at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Dr. Mike King officiated. Burial will be held in Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Osment passed away Thursday, April 23, at Bethany House. She was born April 26, 1939, in Chambers County. She was the former owner of Margaretās Page 1 Book Store in downtown Opelika and was one of the first women to serve on the Opelika Chamber of Commerce.
She was an outgoing person, and at special Bookstore Halloween events, she loved dressing up as a Halloween witch and would treat the children and their families to candy.
She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend to so many and was an avid dog lover too.
Mrs. Osment is survived by her husband Andrew J. āJackieāĀ Osment; son Randy Robertson (Darlene) of Opelika; sister Mildred Garner (Butch) of Auburn; brothers Wayne Daniel of Opelika, Jerry Daniel (Chellis) of Opelika; grandsons Shea Templeton, Levi Templeton (Mary); and great-grandchildren Corrie, Patrick, Micah, Skye, Aiden and Ryder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff Daniel and Mary Daniel; her first husband Howard āBillā Robertson; and son Billy Howard Robertson.

Rebecca Gordon Irvin
Mrs. Rebecca Gordon Irvin was born in Alexander City and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika on Monday, April 27, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Russell J. Gordon Sr., and Mattie Smith Gordon.Ā Ā She was a member of First Baptist Church of Opelika.
Rebecca taught school at Martin School and worked at Flowers Foods.Ā Following her retirement she owned and operated The Yard Sale Store.
Rebecca is survived by her daughter, Melissa Irvin Howell, and granddaughter, Leighanna Virginia Howell of Opelika and sister, Bettie Gordon Cobb of Lanett.Ā She was preceded in death by her husband James H. (Bo) Irvin; one sister, Mary Gordon Wooddy; three brothers, John R. Gordon, Russell J. Gordon, Jr., and Bennie Jack Gordon.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Tim Callaway officiating.Ā Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.Ā Visitation will be at 10 a.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.

Farron Wesley King
Memorial service for Farron Wesley King, 61, of Tallassee will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at 801 North Hills Drive Opelika.
He passed away Monday, April 27, at Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Ga. He was born April 15, 1954, in Lee County. Farron was a kind man and was there for anyone in need. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother Hazel King, granddaughter Jazmon, grandparents Coy and Bennie Frank Peacock.
He is survived by two children Michael and Farrah; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Glenda, Stacey and Timothy.

Charles āChuckā Wyman Sanders
On April 21 at 11 p.m., Charles W. Sanders left us to be with the Lord.Ā Opelika has lost a true friend and someone who could brighten the darkest of days. His biggest joy was his wife, Cindy; his children, Ken, Kim, and Angela and husband Bruce; and grandchildren, Ana-Marie, Gunnar, Soren; and great-granddaughter, Skylar-Marie.
He was very generous to those in need. He gave all of us many stories to laugh about and share and probably many not to.Ā He smiled all the way to heaven knowing he would see his daughter Kim.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at First Baptist Church of Opelika with visitation starting at 12:30 p.m. in the parlor.
