Johnny Dwayne Ferrell
1963-2014

Funeral service for Johnny Dwayne Ferrell, age 51, of Phenix City, was held at 1 p.m. Dec. 4, 2014 at Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery with his dad, Chuck Ferrell, and sister, Ginger Hubbard, officiating.
Johnny went to be with the Lord peacefully at Columbus Hospice on Dec. 1 with his mother by his side. Johnny was born on Easter Sunday, April 14, 1963, in Phenix City.
Johnny was a very loving, caring and generous person. He was a skilled carpenter and welder. His favorite hobbies included drawing and fishing. Johnny accepted Jesus as his Savior and became a Christian in 1987.
Survivors include his mother, Lena Ann Williams; father, Chuck Ferrell (Bonnie); brothers, Donnie Ray Ferrell and Steven Ferrell (Gina); sister, Ginger Hubbard (Ronnie); grandmother, Helen Carpenter (Jack); nephews; Joseph Darminio, Wesley Ferrell, Hudson Hubbard, Jackson Hubbard; nieces, Jessica Palmer, Alex Hubbard, Emma Ferrell, Lanie Ferrell, Katie Ferrell, Sam Ferrell, Gracie Ferrell.

Gerald Wayne Williams
1949-2014

Funeral service for Gerald Wayne Williams, 65, of Opelika, was held Friday, Nov. 28, at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Burial was in Garden Hills Cemetery. The Rev. Eric Hilyer officiated. Visitation was Friday from 12:30-2 p.m. prior to the service at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams passed away Nov. 26, 2014, at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born Sept. 2, 1949, in Russell County. Mr. Williams was a longtime resident of Opelika. He was retired from West Point Pepperell Manufacturing Co. with 30 years service. He and his wife were members of First Freewill Baptist Church in Opelika.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Williams of Opelika; two sons, Timothy Williams (Cindy) of Beauregard, Kevin Williams of Opelika; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Larry Williams (Mary) of Waverly; and sister, Patricia Madlock of Smith’s Station.

John Pierce McCrary
1936-2014

Memorial service for John Pierce McCrary, of Opelika, was held Dec. 4, at 6:30 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. The Revs. Tim Davis, Floyd Carmack and Dr. Shirley Dempsey officiated.
Mr. McCrary, who died Sunday, Nov. 30, in Atlanta, was born May 19, 1936, in Tallassee. Mr. McCrary was Coast Guard Certified Captain of Passenger Vessels. He was a veteran with honorable discharge from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. He was a graduate of Tallassee High School and Auburn University School of Industrial Engineering.
Mr. McCrary is survived by his wife Barbara Margavio; daughters Julia Walker of Goshen, Stacey Martin of Auburn; sons Johnny McCrary of Opelika, Mark McCrary of Huntsville, Lee Ledbetter of Dadeville, Tyler Ledbetter of Opelika; sister-in-law Helen McCrary; brother Rufus McCrary; grandchildren Josh Walker, Sam Walker, Devin Walker, Ravyn McCrary, Haley McCrary, Ashlee Johnston, Rana Rentfrow, Haley Simpson, Allison Murphy, Peyton Ledbetter, Chapman Ledbetter, Channing Ledbetter; and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Alice Ward McCrary; son David McCrary; and sister Peggy Jo Morgan.
