LUNCH AT THE CHAMBER
The Opelika Chamber is hosting “Lunch at the Chamber,” a weekly food truck and pop-up vendor event held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Monday at 200 S. Sixth St., Opelika. The event runs from late February through November and features a rotating lineup of local restaurants and vendors serving lunch outside the Chamber building. HAPPENING NOW — CIRQUE du LUXE AT LEE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
Cirque du Luxe will bring its traveling circus performance to the Lee County Fairgrounds from March 12 through March 22. The show features circus-style entertainment and will present multiple performances throughout the run. MARCH 28 — GLOBAL COMMUNITY DAY FESTIVAL
The 5th Annual Global Community Day Festival will be held at the Opelika SportsPlex Amphitheater, 1001 SportsPlex Parkway. MARCH 28 — BARK IN THE PARK
Auburn Parks and Recreation, in partnership with CARE Humane Society, will host Bark in the Park at Kiesel Park on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free community event will feature educational booths, local pet vendors, live music, door prizes and rescue dogs available for adoption. MARCH 28 — TAILS AND TRAILS 3K
The city of Auburn will host the Tails and Trails 3K on Saturday, March 28, at 9 a.m. at Kiesel Park as part of the 14th annual Bark in the Park celebration. The free, untimed fun run invites participants to bring their dogs along for the course. Awards will be given to the top three finishers and for the best-dressed pups. MAR. 28 — SHRED DAY
Keep Opelika Beautiful will host Shred Day on March 28 from 8–11 a.m. The free event is open to Lee County citizens and nonprofits (no business documents accepted). Documents will be shredded onsite through a partnership with River Mill of Columbus. Participants are asked to remain in their vehicles while volunteers unload materials.

MARCH 30 — FOOD TRUCK MONDAY
Opelika Chamber continues its Food Truck Monday series every Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Downtown Opelika welcomes food trucks offering a variety of lunch options, inviting residents to gather and enjoy local cuisine in a community setting.

APRIL 2 — FLASHLIGHT EGG HUNT
Opelika SportsPlex Amphitheater will hold its annual flashlight egg hunt for third through fifth graders, grab your flashlights and baskets for an egg hunt under the stars! Check your basket for a golden egg for the chance to win a cash prize. Starts at 7:30 p.m.

APRIL 3 — UNDERWATER EGG HUNT
The Underwater Egg Hunt will be held at the Opelika SportsPlex Pool for ages 6 through10. Dive into the fun at this unique egg hunt. Weighted eggs will be scattered at different depths throughout the SportsPlex pool, with prizes for all participants. Registration ($5) is required by March 30.

APRIL 4 — EASTER ON THE SQUARE
The area’s largest egg hunt welcomes kids 2nd grade and younger at Courthouse Square starting at 10 a.m. Gather eggs,
candy and prizes, and visit with the Easter Bunny. Egg hunts will be held in waves
by age group.

APRIL 4 — WWAP 1000 YOUTH MARCH
Walking With A Purpose (WWAP) hosts the 1,000 Youth March on April 4 in Opelika. The community initiative aims to engage, motivate and empower young people through positive leadership, unity and civic involvement. The event welcomes youth and families to participate in activities promoting unity and empowerment in the community.

APRIL 5 — EASTER BRUNCH BUFFET AT SOUTHERN OAK
Southern Oak Restaurant will host its annual Easter Brunch Buffet on Sunday, April 5, with seatings at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. The spring menu features seafood and salad displays, an omelet station, prime rib and honey-glazed ham carving stations, seasonal entrées and desserts. Cost is $89 per person (includes sparkling wine or a mimosa), $35 for ages 7-12 and free for children 6 and under (plus tax and gratuity). APRIL 9 — IGNITE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Leadership Lee County will host its annual Ignite Leadership Conference on April 9, 2026. The one-day event is designed to inspire and equip leaders of all kinds — from emerging leaders and business owners to managers and community members who want to grow their leadership skills and serve their community well. APRIL 17, 18 — LEE COUNTY TOUR OF HOMES
The Lee County Association of Realtors will host its upcoming Tour of Homes, inviting the public to explore a collection of newly constructed homes built by local builders. Visitors can walk through the homes to see current design trends, layouts and finishes while learning more about new construction in the area. Attendees will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite home in the People’s Choice Award. Proceeds from the event support an endowed scholarship at Auburn University for a student pursuing Building Science or Architecture. The event will be held April 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is free and open to the public.

APRIL 18 – WARRIORS FOR FREEDOM 5K
The second annual Warriors for Freedom 5K, hosted by Worthy2, will be held Saturday, April 18, at 8:30 a.m. at the Opelika SportsPlex. The event, held in memory of Lily Ledbetter, is open to all participants to run or walk in support of raising awareness and funds for survivors of human trafficking. APRIL 18–19 — 25TH ANNIVERSARY OLD 280 BOOGIE
Standard Deluxe will host the 25th anniversary Old 280 Boogie on Saturday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at 1015 Mayberry Ave. in Waverly. Keep Opelika Beautiful will partner with the city of Opelika for its annual City-Wide Clean Up on April 25 from 8 to 10 a.m. The anti-litter campaign promotes community pride and brings together residents, businesses and organizations to help keep Opelika clean.

MAY 2 — GARDEN IN THE PARK

JUNE 5 — SUMMERNIGHT DOWNTOWN ART WALK
