CONTRIBUTED TO THE LAFAYETTE SUN

SMITHS STATION — Micah Messer has officially announced his candidacy for the Alabama House of Representatives in District 38.
A lifelong Alabamian, Messer is a member of the Alabama National Guard, a law enforcement officer and the owner of two small businesses. His deep roots in the state and dedication to service drive his desire to represent the hard-working people of Lee and Chambers Counties.
“District 38 is my home, and I want it to continue to be a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family,” Messer said. “The people of this district deserve a representative who reflects their values and work ethic — from farmers and industrial workers to firefighters and teachers.”
Messer is running on a platform of transparency, accountability and common-sense governance. His priorities include stopping government waste, election integrity, lowering taxes and fighting crime by ensuring law enforcement has the training and resources it needs. He also strongly opposes the expansion of casino interests into District 38 and stands firmly for family values.
“Our state government works best when it is truly by the people and for the people,” Messer emphasized. “I am committed to being a responsive and principled voice in Montgomery.”
Micah Messer invites residents of District 38 to contact him directly at (334) 219-0321 to share their concerns and ideas. He looks forward to meeting with voters across the district.
“I would be honored to serve the people of District 38 and am deeply thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to run,” he said.
