Snowflakes & Sweaters Winter Learning Challenge | Dec. 1 – Jan. 31
Participants of all ages are challenged to read or listen to at least 1,000 minutes during the months of December and January to earn their choice of a t-shirt or hoodie (while supplies last). Register for the challenge by downloading the Beanstack Tracker app to any smartphone or tablet or by visiting auburnpl.beanstack.org. Log your reading via Beanstack to complete the challenge.

Family Movie Matinee | Monday, Dec. 2, 3:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to enjoy popcorn and a movie matinee featuring “The Garfield Movie” (rated PG). The film runtime is 101 minutes.

Letters to Santa | Thursday, Dec. 5, 3:30 p.m.
All ages of believers are invited to visit with your favorite APL elves to write a letter to Santa. We bet you’ll get a personal letter back from him in the mail! Join us for fun, music and snacks as we celebrate the season. No registration is required.

Crafternoon: Thank You, First Responders | Thursday, Dec. 19, 3:30 p.m.
Everyone is invited to craft holiday themed “Thank You” cards for our local first responders and even thank a few in person.

Adults Create: Crocheted Mug Rugs/Coasters | Tuesday, Dec. 10, 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 14, 2 p.m.
Learn basic crochet skills as you create a mug rug or coaster to hold your favorite beverage. Space is limited, and registration is required. Email libraryevents@auburnalabama.org to register.

Chapter Chats (Adults 18+) | Tuesday, Dec. 17, 5:30 p.m.
Meet us at the library to chat about “Remarkably Bright Creatures” by Shelby Van Pelt. No registration is required.

Teens D.I.Y. Holiday Gifts | Tuesday, Dec. 17, 4:30 p.m.
Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to stop in to create a D.I.Y Holiday gift.

Please note, the Auburn Public Library will take a program hiatus from Nov. 24-30 and Dec. 21-Jan. 3.
