Merchants from 8th Street in downtown Opelika hosted a block party on Thursday, Aug. 31. There were games, food, music and more during the event. Jerri Sumrall was the grand prize winner, finding the hidden winning sticker. She received two tickets to the On the Tracks, Opelika’s wine event that is scheduled for Oct. 20. Savannah Finck was a winner of a cake during the cake walk.
