Following is a statement from Women’s Hope Medical Clinic’s Executive Director Daria Monroe on how her organization will make slight alterations to accommodate for the COVID-19 outbreak.
“Dear Friends and Family of Women’s Hope,
The spread of COVID-19 has affected all of us in more ways than one. Here at Women’s Hope Medical Clinic, we have always been dedicated to providing the best possible services to our clients and the community at large. With that in mind, we have decided to implement some important changes to our normal operations as we make everyone’s health a top priority.
Until further notice, our clinic will be open from 9 am to 1 pm by appointment only. We are working on an option to provide online parenting classes for our clients. Our clients are also encouraged to call if they have a material need for their baby, and we will do our best to meet the need. As always, prayer is available to everyone. We have asked our volunteers to remain safely at home until further notice.
In regards to the 5K/Walk, out of necessity and care for our faithful community, we have moved to a virtual 5K/Walk fundraising event. Our website will provide more information and updates as they become available. During this time, as always, we need and value your support of Women’s Hope.
At Women’s Hope Medical Clinic, we have always sought to bring assurance and peace to others within the community, and we plan on continuing to do just that. With the implementation of these new protocols, we do not want to instill panic or fear. We are not acting rashly, but instead are following the protocol that our top medical professionals, churches, and government have set in place. We are still here for our community, and we are not going away. Even in the event that we are required to temporarily close our doors, our staff will still be actively working and responding to the community by phone and online.
During this time of uncertainty, our prayers are with each of you as we walk through this together. We hope that we can offer you peace and comfort in these trying times.”
