Keep Opelika Beautiful and the City of Opelika were proud to join together for the first ‘Patriotic Porch’ contest this year. Residents from each ward had the opportunity to submit photographs of their porches and the entries were shared on Facebook. The winners were determined by the photographs that received the most “likes.” The winners for each ward and winners for creativity and the mayor’s choice award are as follows:
• Ward 1- Mr. and Mrs. Bud Conci,
• Ward 2- Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Perkins,
• Ward 3- Mr. and Mrs.. Tommy Carter,
• Ward 4- Mr. and Mrs. Dave Hagan,
• Ward 5- Mr. and Mrs. Chris Duncan,
• Creativity Award- Mr. and Mrs. Joe Seals and
• Mayor’s Choice Award – Mr. and Mrs. Leikvold.
