Wilbert “Wubba” Harrison, age 83 of Opelika, passed away on Nov. 20, 2011. He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Iris Eloise Harrison; sons, Wilbert Darryl (Kathy) Harrison, Melvin Eugene “Bubba” Harrison and Mark Edwin (Doris) Harrison; grandchildren, Chris (Leslie) Harrison, Chad Harrison, Amanda Harrison, and Jason Harrison; great grandchildren, Stella Grace Harrison and Aden “Blue” Harrison, and special friends, Burt (Jerry) Hornsby, James Morrison, and Danny Lindsey.
We rejoice that Dad humbled himself to a great and loving God and has received the ultimate healing.
A funeral service for Harrison was held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 23, at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel with burial in Garden Hills Cemetery. Reverend Earl Ballard officiated. Visitation was held Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
