Walter (Buster) C. Credle III of Opelika passed away on Sunday Aug. 8, 2021 at his home in Opelika. He was born July 13, 1961 in Ocala Florida. He is proceeded in death by this father Walter C. Credle JR., mother Della Pearl MacMillan, sister Lynda Spraggins and brother Marrell Ward. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Teresa Credle; child Cliff Credle (Kacie); siblings Barber Gayle Royster (John), Randy Pennington, Bonnie O’Hara (Greg), Susan Cox (Jerry); grandchildren Brycen and Payton Credle along with 21 nieces, nephews and 60 plus great and great great nieces and nephews. He was retired from Lee County Board of Education maintenance after 20 years of service. He spent his retirement at home spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, riding his motorcycle, and playing guitar.
Funeral services wer held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home, with burial following in Garden Hills Cemetery, Reverend Bill Bryan is officiating. Visitation was on Tuesday night from 6 to 8 p.m.at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
