Tyler Keith Folds, 20, of Opelika passed away at UAB on Oct. 30, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Although only 20 at the time of his death, Tyler affected so many people in his lifetime. Those who knew Tyler, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Tyler was the beloved son of Amy (Robert) McCormick and Brian (Mary) Folds.

Tyler loved the outdoors, but his heart was into always working to make his truck look and sound better. He enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Keely and her family. He spent a lot of time hanging out with his truck meet buddies. Most of all, Tyler loved his family and loved life.

Tyler is survived: by his parents, Amy (Robert) McCormick and Brian (Mary) Folds; siblings: the best brother to his twin sister Britney and older sisters Amber and Ashley, great big brother to Dalten; Kayla Barnes, Brooke McClain, Adrienne Long, Ashley McCormick; grandparents: Ricky (Trish) Folds, Eddie Martin, Linda Niles; nephews: Tyler was adored by his three-year-old nephew Rhett; Carson, Ledger, Camden, Tucker, Mason, Owen, Evan, and baby Langston due March 2021; uncles: Scott Martin, Billy Barrios, Jason Folds; several aunts and cousins; so many friends; and a precious girlfriend Keely, who adored him.

Tyler is preceded in death by his grandmother Susan Folds and several great grandparents.

Tyler is now lighting up heaven with that big beautiful smile of his.

Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 4 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. A celebration of Tyler’s life will be 11 a.m. on Nov.5 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home with burial following in Garden Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive guests following the service at the home of Tyler’s mom Amy McCormick.
