Families will be able to explore and discover Tiger Town and its new businesses during the first ‘Tiger Town Scavenger Hunt’ Feb. 4-18.
Hosted by the Tiger Town Association, more than 30 hand-painted rocks will be hidden in various locations across Tiger Town, spanning from Kroger to Lowe’s.
Each rock found can be returned to the specific business identified on the rock in exchange for a prize.
“It is just a fun event that we thought would be nice to get the community out into the area and see kind of first-hand what is out here,” said Sue Ruffing, Ashley Home Furniture’s operations manager. “We have businesses growing and popping up, so it’s become more of a destination spot than a shopping area.”
Ruffing explained that the Tiger Town Association is a union of business dedicated to helping the shopping center grow.
“We get together once a quarter and we bounce ideas off each other and how we can help each other grow,” Ruffing said. “There is no competition or malice involved, just a matter of how we can help Tiger Town grow.”
