SYNOPSIS OF ZONING NOTICE
The City Council of the City of Opelika will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 204 S. 7th Street, Opelika, Lee County, Alabama, to consider the adoption of an ordinance to amend the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map of the City of Opelika by rezoning or redistricting the parcels of land hereinafter described so as to change such parcels from one class of district to another class of district, as follows:
From an I-1, GC District (Institutional, Gateway Corridor Overlay District) to a C-2, GC District (Office/Retail, Gateway Corridor Overlay District), the parcels of land hereinafter described:
Lot 11A and Lot 2 as shown on plat of survey entitled “Jeter School Subdivision”, Section 8, T19N, R27E, in the City of Opelika, Lee County, Alabama said plat surveyed by Jim McCrory Alabama Reg. No. 12493 and recorded in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Lee County, Alabama on October 17, 2000, in Town Plat Book 22 on Page 14. Lot 11 A containing 2 acres more or less and Lot 11A containing 5.86 acres more or less.
Said parcels consist in the aggregate of 7.8 acres and are located at the Southwest corner of Fox Run Parkway and Greater Peace Drive.
Public Notice of this public hearing with insertion of the proposed ordinance was first published on August 14, 2015 in the Opelika Observer. This notice is given pursuant to Section 11-52-78 Code of Alabama (1975).
