Funeral services for Stanley A. Mullins of Opelika were held on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Garden Hills Cemetery, Rev. Tim Thompson officiated. Visitation was held prior to the services.

Mr. Mullins who died Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at Piedmont Columbus Hospital, was born Aug. 27, 1930, in Tallassee, Alabama. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. He was a former business owner in Opelika.

A loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, he was proud of all his family. He enjoyed watching all kind of sports from the comfort of his den.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Mullins; children: Kaye (Dr. Pierre) Clothiaux, Ginger Mullins, Patricia O’Quinn, Russell (Jamie) Mullins, Stewart Mullins; grandchildren: Claire (Wood) Neely, Phillip Clothiaux, Caroline Clothiaux, Reese Mullins, Sam Mullins, Maggie Mullins, Karlyn Mullins, Katie (Lynn) Neal, Jack O’Quinn; great-grandchild: Irene Neely and sister, Jeannine Griffith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Austin Mullins and Margaret Mullins; brother-in-law: Jessie Griffith, brother and sister-in-law: Charles and Peggy Mullins.
