Auburn Parks and Recreation is hosting its  annual Spring Sundown Concert Series, an evening of music and fun at the picturesque Keisel Park, beginning this Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Bring a lawn chair or comfy blanket and kick back, relax and enjoy a free concert under the evening sunset.

“It’s a fun family event, so we just want everyone to come out and enjoy themselves,” said Jarrett Jones (title which is to be figured out soon).

When attending an event, music lovers can expect to hear anything from jazz, blues, R&B and covers of popular songs on from decades past.

The free concert series begins this Thursday with the Auburn High Jazz Band and D.J. Cole performing and runs through May 27.

Concessions will be available on-site along with free inflatables. Turbulent weather will result in the cancellation of shows. Onlookers will be asked to social distance.

“I think everyone has cabin fever because of COVID,” Jones said. “I think we will have nice turnouts each week. It’s just something to do on a Thursday evening, giving people things that are like – back to normal.”

The scheduled lineup is as follows:

May 6: Auburn Jazz Band and D.J. Cole

May 13: H2O Featuring Louisiana Fred

May 20: Blake Brock Trio

May 27: Dion Hawkins and the Experience
