The Southern Christian Patriots got their second varsity win of the season against Trinity Christian (Pelham, Alabama) this past Friday. It was a close, hard fought, back and forth game, with the final score of 28-22.

The Patriots had a host of players perform well on the way to the victory. Junior quarterback Daniel Adams had a great night with 104 passing yards and one rushing touchdown. Sophomore wide receiver Levi Marchio was his favorite target, finishing with 69 yards – receiving and hauling in the Patriots’ lone touchdown pass. Senior Silas Frick added a rushing touchdown of his own, giving him three in the last two weeks.

Throughout the game, Southern Christian played great defense. Sophomore Josia Frick was the co-leader in tackles for the second straight week with eight. He also had the Patriots’ first pick-six of the season. Levi Marchio was everywhere on the defensive side of the ball too, finishing with eight tackles of his own to tie Frick for the team high.

Southern Christian now have a program-high two-game win streak after starting  their inaugural season with three straight losses.

The Patriots will play next Friday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m. CST at Twiggs Academy in Jeffersonville, Georgia.
