SnapStand Photobooth has made “selfies” a thing of the past. Owner, Katy Doss, created a device that “allows customers and guests to be the stars AND the photographers,” according to the SnapStand website, www.snapstandphotobooth.com.

SnapStand Photobooth is a fully interactive open-air photobooth that allows customers or guests to control the shots. The contraption stands on its own and has an iPad that acts as the control screen. “The iPad takes the photo, but it runs off of a special app just for this machine, so it can do all kinds of different videos, short videos, boomerangs … you can also customize the color overlay,” Doss said.

Once the photo is taken, customers or guests have the capability to immediately access it via email or text message. They can also access all the photos that were taken at the event.

Additionally, all photos taken can be live-streamed during the event using a smart TV.

Doss said she wanted to offer the SnapStand Photobooth to the Auburn/Opelika community not only because it was fun but because it had many capabilities for businesses. “It’s fun for parties and weddings and things, but we’re really focusing more on the business aspect. And basically, if a business rents this, we create a custom photo overlay so we can put the business’s logo in the corner of the photo or video or GIF or whatever,” she said.

The start screen as well as the messages and/or logos are completely customizable. Doss and her team provide all design services for their clients. This added feature is extremely appealing and beneficial to businesses because when someone uses the SnapStand Photobooth and shares the picture to social media, the business’s logo will be shared as well.

SnapStand Photobooth is a division of Here Molly Girl, a full-service marketing and design firm. Doss started Here Molly Girl five and a half years ago and named the company after her beloved first dog. According to their website, “Here Molly Girl combines the best of a traditional marketing and design firm, with unique aspects that truly benefit our clients. We are a virtual company, allowing all our employees to work from home – wherever home is. When we need to get together, we have a creativity space in Auburn that’s ideal for brainstorming and meetings. Our team has flexible schedules that accommodate real life in the 21st century. This equals happy employees, efficient work without the typical office distractions and more affordable rates for our clients.”

In addition to her astounding success with Here Molly Girl and the new addition of SnapStand Photobooth, Doss was named the 2020 Young Business Person of the Year by the Auburn Chamber of Commerce.

SnapStand Photobooth has only been up and running for about three weeks now but has already captured photos from one event and is booked for several more in the near future. SnapStand Photobooth is perfect for annual meetings, Greek life formals, ribbon-cutting events, tailgates, fundraisers, weddings or birthday parties.

In addition to providing events with the SnapStand Photobooth, Doss and her team will also include a box of props to amp up the fun.
