For all the Auburn and Alabama sport fans, there’s a way to pick up some special sports paraphernalia, all for a good cause, at an ongoing silent auction at the Holiday Inn Express, located at 1801 Capps Landing in Opelika. There’s a special engraved picture of Paul “Bear” Bryant and Pat Dye hunting, two national championship rings and an Auburn 1856 banner, to name just a few of the items in the auction.
All-American Classic is hosting the auction to benefit Children’s of Alabama. The company is a family-owned business. They have been handcrafting sports and Hollywood art for more than 20 years.
“My father, Donnie Owen, started auctioning his sports art to help non- profits years ago,” said Jeff Owen, President of Community Connect Marketing for All- American Classics. “Our community auctions have raised more than $18,000 last year in Alabama for hospitals in Auburn, Opelika and Birmingham, and more than 20 million dollars for non- profits across the U.S. in 107 cities.”
The auction runs now through Feb. 5. The auction sheets are checked once a week and someone from the company will contact anyone on the list who’s placed a bid. For more information, go to allamericaclassics.org.
