An old friend was passing through and stopped by the farm to say hi. We talked awhile about old times and shared a few laughs. Then he said that I was the only rancher he’d ever known that worked his farm in short pants. I told him the hotter it gets, the more clothes i take off and the bigger the hat I put on and if the temperature tops out at 100 degrees or more, one would likely see a wrinkled up old naked farmer out checking his cows in a sombrero. He said his goodbyes and promised to stop by again around Christmas, when he was certain things had cooled off around here.
