Save-A-Lot, a supermarket with more than 1,300 locations across the nation, is bringing its business to Opelika.
The new home for the discount grocery store is located on Pepperell Parkway, adjacent to Tractor Supply. The location is slated to open for business Dec. 18.
Currently, the closest Save-A-Lot stores to most residents in the Opelika area are in Montgomery and Columbus.
Like other grocers, Save-A-Lot offers weekly deals and specials. Also, on
save-a-lot.com, shoppers can browse a lengthy list of available products, both store brand and brand name items, before purchasing.
Save-A-Lot provides recipes and grocery lists on its website that claim to feed a family of four for less than $5. Those recipes and grocery lists can also be located on the website.
