The eighth annual Opelika Community Christmas party celebration was held in the Samford Community last weekend. Organizer Carolyn Morton said it was a blessing and joyful time with the children and everyone. Opelika’s police and fire departments, the AL-Auburn/Opelika Moms Demand Action and Christian Care Ministries were in attendance. The guest speaker, Minister Cathy Newkirk, offered words of encouragement on love, joy and peace. Music, fun, snacks and gifts were provided by the Samford Community Outreach Group and Morton.
