Quinton Belvin Foster of Sugar Hill, Georgia formerly of Opelika was born to the late Lewis Allen Foster and Itasta Reynolds Foster on Nov. 28, 1932 and passed away at Northside Gwinnett Medical on Jan. 6, 2021. He was 88 years old.

Quinton Foster was born in Monroe County, Alabama but grew up and went to High School in Beauregard. He served 2 years in the Army Airborne during the Korean War. In 1956 while selling insurance in the Mobile area he met and married Barbara Breedlove on Baldwin County. Quinton and Barbara moved to Opelika where they lived until Nov. 1, 2018 when he and Barbara moved to Sugar Hill, Georgia to be closer to their sons. While in Opelika Quinton was a Carpenter, Building Contractor, owned a Cabinet manufacturing business rental property owner and he served 25 years working for the City of Opelika as a Building and Electrical Inspector. Quinton was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Opelika serving as an usher and as a member of the building committee.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Horace Foster and Dwight Foster.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Barbara Breedlove Foster; sons, Paul Foster (Sharon), and Mark Foster (Karan); grandchildren, Brent Foster, Quinton Foster (Abigail), and Cody Foster; brothers, Thomas Foster (Mary Ann), and Lewis Arnold Foster (Sally).

Visitation was held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2021 from noon until 12:45 p.m.

A funeral service followed at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Reverend Mike King officiating. Interment was held at Garden Hills Cemetery.In lieu of flower donation can be made to First Baptist Church Senior Ministry.
