The Tallapoosa County Girls Ranch announced a public memorial service has been planned to honor the lives of the eight children that were killed in a traffic accident on June 19 on I-65 in Butler County while returning from their annual summer vacation trip to the beach.  Ranch Director Candance Gulley lost two of her children, Ben and Isabella, as well as two nephews, Josiah Adam and Nicholas Paul Dunnavant. Only one of the teen girls that was a resident at the ranch has been identified. Seventeen-year-old Dana Marie Norman was from Madison County. All four girls attended Reeltown High School.

The service will be held on July 15 at 1 p.m. at Church of the Highlands – Auburn East, which is located at 2001 E. Samford Ave. in Auburn. The Celebration of Life Service is open to the public and all are welcome.
