Patricia Nix Bearden of Opelika was born in the Lee County Hospital to the late Acton and Mildred Nix on June 5, 1944, and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on Nov. 16, 2021. She was 77 years old.
Pat worked for Opelika City Schools in the cafeteria at Opelika Middle School for 29 years. Pat was a proud Member at Liberty Baptist Church of Opelika.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Bearden; sister, Mary Adams.
Pat is survived by her children, Benjamin (Anita) Cole Jr., Acton Cole, Melvin (Mel) Cole, Cassandra (Jason) Guthrie; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister, Velena Steber, former daughter-in-law, Tammy Cole and her fur babies, Molly and Minni.
Visitation was held Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m.
Funeral service was held in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Tommy Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Garden Hills Cemetery.
