Pastine’s passion was making quilts for her children, grandchildren and friends. She had such a talent and loved blessing people with her beautifully made quilts.

Pastine is survived by her husband, Lester Rushing; children: Stephanie Wamick (Steve), Robyn Good (Bill), Shanon Cornell (Doug) and Jennifer Rushing; grandchildren: David Foti, Drew Johnson, Colton Wamick, Ashton Johnson, Rachel Good, Jon Good, Lawson Cornell and Laurel Cornell; many great grandchildren; sister, Ann McCarley and brother, Billy Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Dolly Johnson and her sister, Sally Crosson.

Family and friends are invited to join the family for a final goodbye to Pastine with a memorial service held at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home on Frederick Road, Opelika on Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021 at 1 pm. In lieu of the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choosing in Pastine Rushing’s name. Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home is directing.
