Some of you may have noticed this week’s issue of your beloved Opelika Observer seems to look a bit different.

You aren’t crazy; things really are on different pages this week.

This week, and over the next several weeks, we’ll be making tweaks and changes to some of this paper’s layout – that is to say how the paper looks and is designed.

Rest assured, you will still find the same great content you’ve come to know and expect from our paper – our excellent local columnists, our colorful event photos and news and stories that you, the people of Opelika and Lee County, want to read about. It just may be on a different page.

If you have suggestions for things we could work better at, let us know. We’re always looking for new ways to reach you, our readers.

We’re just making a few superficial changes to help boost the way our paper looks to both you, the reader, and to our amazing local advertisers.

And, speaking of advertising, if your business doesn’t advertise with us – it’s time to step up. You, too, readers. We’re your local paper, written and produced by local people for our local people, and y’all ought to join in support of another locally owned business.
