Opelika’s beloved coffee shop and hangout spot, The Overall Company, will reopen in the tasting room at John Emerald Distillery in March. According to owner Laura Pritchard, Overall Company will call the distillery home for six months to a year.
According to Pritchard, who owns the business formerly located at the corner of Tenth Street and Avenue B with her husband Jay, moving into the distillery made a lot of sense and allowed the business to reopen sooner. “We have been friends with John and Jimmy (distillery owners) since they came into town, and it just seemed like a perfect fit,” Pritchard said. “The decor there fits well with our brand, and we both have a lot of products that compliment each other.”
Pritchard said everything on the menu will be about the same as it was before with just a little simplification, adding she believes the plans The Overall Company has in store will be something Opelika will be proud of.
“We love Opelika, and we’re happy to be a downtown business. We have a great customer base, and we’re excited about reopening and seeing everyone again,” Pritchard said.
