Opelika’s 14 & under soccer team participated in the state tournament in Dothan. With bold performances in several games, the team demonstrated why Opelika’s soccer program is a force to be reckoned with, despite failing to win their tournament.
Following their games, the team enjoyed a celebration by playing around in the mud of the fields, much to their parents chagrin. Judging by the smiles on theses kids’ faces, however, we’ll say the mess was well worth it.
