Special to the Opelika Observer

The Opelika SeaDawgs swim team had a great weekend at this year’s ARPA state swimming and diving championships. The Opelika SportsPlex and Opelika Parks and Recreation staff were the proud host of this year’s event.

This two-day event had 28 teams and 1,226 swimmers from all over the state of Alabama. Some of the swimmers here last weekend are top swimmers in the state and vying for a spot on the next Olympic team.
