The Opelika Dixie Youth Majors Ozone All-Star team (11 and 12-year olds) advanced to the state tournament in Fairhope after winning the district tournament in Opelika last week.
The team will play in the state tournament beginning on July 14.
Team members are: Jared Barlett, Torey Birdsong, Cade Blackmon, Jacob Calloway, Micah Christian, Luke Davis, Tykael DeMunn, Nolan Goodman, Caleb Harrelson, Jaichus Holmes, Nathan Johnson and Dylan McCann. Chris Johnson is manager and he is assisted by coaches Chris Birdsong and Dewayne McCann.
