Special to the Opelika Observer

Opelika Main Street named Tiffany Denson as its new executive director in a press release this morning.

Denson, a Clearwater, Florida native, previously served as Main Street’s director in early 2000, and she worked most recently as the co-owner and founder of T. Lish Dressings and Marinades.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of Opelika Main Street. My hope is to further improve the unique and historic character of downtown Opelika while helping make downtown an energetic and creative city center where people want to live, desire to work, yearn to play and long to return,” Denson said.

Following an extensive search, OMS Board President John Gwin said he and fellow board members are excited for the organization’s future under Denson’s leadership.

“After putting a lot of hard work into looking for a new director, we are excited for Mrs. Denson to start, so that we can continue to serve our members,” Gwin said.

The press release stated that Denson will start in her new position Feb. 5, and that the organization will continue in its mission of recognizing the importance of the downtown community by promoting local business, preserving history, attracting visitors and providing economic opportunity.
