The OHS softball team is in Gulf Shores playing in one of the south’s largest high school softball tournaments, the Gulf Shores Classic. Teams travel from several states to enjoy the beach while playing high school softball.
The OHS baseball team swept Central in a last Friday doubleheader to bring their Area record to 2-1, and won the series two games to one.
The baseball Dawgs played in the “ Lake Martin Classic” in Alexander City and Dadeville this week.
Teams will jump back into Area play early next week.
Support OHS Athletics
Opelika High School athletics and the Opelika All-Sports Booster Club are announcing a new way to show your support for Opelika Athletics by displaying the company name or family names.
The new scoreboard at Bulldog Stadium has two marquees at the bottom of the scoreboard. The names can be shown on both screens at the same time.
The new scoreboard is also video screen. We have two cameras on the field and one portable camera.
There a few other opportunity to show your support for the program.
From 5:30 p.m. until 6:40 p.m., the video scoreboard will show videos of events happening at all the schools in the system. Sponsorships for this time are available.
Opelika Dixie Youth
Opelika Dixie Youth will start playing games Monday, April 1. The Dixie Youth program has leagues and teams for six-year-olds to 12-year-olds. League games are normally scheduled for Monday and Thursday nights.
