Opelika city schools resumed classes last week after the Christmas holiday break. All of the winter sports were involved in games or practice. The Opelika cheer competition team continues to practice for the National Championship competition on Feb. 10-14, in Orlando at Walt Disney’s Wide World of Sports.

This is the first OHS team to make it this far in the competition since 13 years ago when present head coach Brandy Riddle was a student at Opelika High School and a member of the team.
