Carl James Burdell
Carl James Burdell, Jr., 70 of Opelika, passed away April 13, 2017 at East Alabama Medical Center after an extended illness. Carl was born November 3, 1946 in Lee County to Carl and Myrl Burdell.
A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 in the Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Visitation will be Monday, April 17, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.
Mr. Burdell is preceded in death by his wife Julia Haddox Burdell; father, Carl James Burdell, Sr.; and mother, Myrl Jean Burdell.
Mr. Burdell is survived by his children: Beth Gardner (Tim), Timothy James Burdell, and Michael Wayne Burdell (April); grandchildren: Trent Gardner, Steven Burdell (Emma), Kurtis Burdell (Ashley), Sarah Hernandez (Roberto), Hannah Gardner, Austin Burdell, Jonah Burdell, and Jordan Burdell; great-grandchildren: Glenn Davis, Robby Hernandez, Leo Hernandez, and Julia Rosaline Burdell; brother, Mike Burdell (Kathi); sisters: Shirley Herring (Bill), and Jan Murphy (Larry).
