Mary Nell Holman
Mrs. Mary Nell Holman, 93, of Opelika, Alabama, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dutch Holman, daughter, Jeanette Knight, brother, Rayford Knight, and sister, Flora Spraggins. Mary Nell is survived by her daughters, Deborah Cole and Beverly May (Earl); grandchild, Angela Underwood (Will); great-grandchildren, Evi Underwood and Catherine Underwood; step-children, Ronald Holman (Linda) and Terry Holman; and a host of nieces and nephews along with many cousins. Mrs. Holman was a great cook and was known for her divinity, and homemade caramel cake.
Visitation with the family was held Monday evening, May 1, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home in Opelika. A private graveside service was held Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
