Katherine (Kathi) Jones
Katherine (Kathi) J. Jones, 49, of Opelika, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 24, 2017. She passed away at East Alabama Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father, Lamar Jones. Kathi is survived by her son, Eric Wade Jones; mother, Carole Watkins (Dana); sister, Kim Barnes (John); half-sisters, Candy, Marsha, and Greta; half-brothers, Jason, and Bryan; two close friends, Cody and Chance; and a host of nieces and nephews that she cared about a lot. Ms. Jones was a native of Chambers County but spent most of her life in Opelika. Kathi was an electrical worker for PCI in Columbus, GA. A funeral service was held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation with the family was at 10:00 a.m. preceding the service.
