Funeral service for Doris Baker, 76, of Opelika, AL, was at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Church, 4970 County Road 24, Auburn, AL 36830 with interment in St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Reverend Charles Adams, Pastor, Reverend Andrew Alexander, Eulogist.
Ms. Baker, who passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her home in Opelika, AL, was born February 22, 1941 in Macon County, Alabama.
Public viewing was Monday, August 7, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Survivors include: three daughters, Lucille Stinson of Tuskegee, AL, Judith (John) Myhand and Dorothy Lewis both of Beauregard, AL; two sons, Willie Baker and McGarrett Baker both of Tuskegee, AL; five sisters, Callie Baker, Earnestine Levett of Auburn, AL, Gracie Baker, Diane (Eddie) Gauntt of Montgomery, AL and Sallie Whittaker of Tuskegee, AL; one brother, Eddie Baker of Tuskegee, AL; sister-in-law, Ruby Baker of Auburn, AL; nine grandchildren, Shelvin (Katina), Stanley, April (Michael), Erika (Ronald), Chiquita (Charles), Cornelius, Breana, Kristopher, Sierra and Nicole; eight great-grandchildren, DeQuavius, Shaniya, Stanley, Jr., Tameya, Winston, JaKaysha, Kingston and Jeremiah; great-aunt, Essie Lee Felton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
