NOTICE OF PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARINGS
TO:  RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE CITY OF OPELIKA AND ALL OTHER INTERESTED CITIZENS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Planning Commission of the City of Opelika, Alabama will hold a regular meeting and will be conducting public hearings on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Commission Chambers in the Public Works Administrative Building located at 700 Fox Trail, Opelika, Alabama.  The purpose of the public hearings is to receive public comment on the following:
A public hearing on a request by Barrett-Simpson, Inc. authorized representative for Chapman H, LLC, property owners, for preliminary and final plat approval of The Springs at Mill Lakes, Phase 4 subdivision consisting of 43 lots located at 2800 block Highway 280.
A public hearing on a request by Barrett-Simpson, Inc., authorized representative for Fletcher Baldwin, property owner, for preliminary and final plat approval of Fletcher Baldwin, Property Division of Lot 1 subdivision consisting of 5 lot located at 1003 Staley
A public hearing on a request by Mike Maher, Precision Surveying, authorized representative for James Starr, property owner, for preliminary and final plat approval of Century Park, Operell Section subdivision consisting of 3 lots at 1700 block Century Boulevard.
A public hearing on a request by Mike Maher, Precision Surveying, authorized representative for Wyndham Properties, LLC, and property owner, for preliminary and final plat approval of Wyndham Industrial, Redivision of Lots 3 and 5 subdivision consisting of 5 lots located at Wyndham Industrial Drive.
A public hearing on a request by Brandon Bolt, authorized representative for Cannon Timber & Land Co., property owners, for preliminary approval of Cannon Gate, Phase II, Redivision of Parcel B subdivision consisting of 63 lots located at Cannon Gate Drive.
A public hearing on a request by Brandon Bolt, authorized representative for Cannon Timber & Land Co., property owners, for Master Plan Revisions to the Cannon Gate PUD (Planned Unit Development), Phase II master plan located at Cannon Gate Drive.
A public hearing on a request by Vernon Abner, authorized representative for WP Properties Opelika Lots LLC, property owner, for conditional use approval for a 104 unit townhouse development accessed from 3300 block Pepperell Parkway.
A public hearing on a request by R. Temple Anderson and Jenny Anderson, property owners, for conditional use approval for an automobile sales lot at 305 2nd Avenue
A public hearing on a request by Manjeet Singh, property owners, for conditional use approval for an automobile maintenance business at 1419 2nd Avenue.
A public hearing to consider a recommendation to the City Council on the request by Victor Vance, property owner, to rezone a 3.8 acres located at 1500 block Spring Drive from an R-3, GC zoning district to a C-3, GC zoning district.
The following other agenda item is included for review at the February 28th Planning Commission meeting:
Amendment to the Future Land Use Map at 1500 block Spring Drive 3.8 acres from low density residential land use to a general commercial land use
All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting/public hearings and be heard.  Written comments concerning the above matters may be mailed to the Planning Director at 700 Fox Trail, Opelika, Alabama 36801 at any time prior to the meeting/public hearings and may be further submitted to the Planning Commission at the meeting/public hearings.
The Planning Commission reserves the right to modify or alter any of the proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance and to make its recommendations accordingly to the City Council.
