The music and sounds of the South’s past will be on full display during the ninth-annual Lee County Gathering tomorrow through Sunday at Pioneer Park in Loachapoka.
The Gathering will feature concerts and instructional classes from some of the country’s most accomplished acoustic musicians, including Grammy-nominated banjo and fiddle player Amber Rogers, highly acclaimed dulcimer player Joe Collins, and Tom Spicer, of Spicer’s music in Auburn playing harmonica.
Registration for the event can be found on www.leecountyhistoricalsociety.org. The following is a list of ticketing options available for the Gathering:
– Festival Package (Fri. and Sat. classes, concerts and jams for $60)
– Saturday-only Festival Package (Sat. classes, concerts and jams for $30)
– Friday and Saturday (concerts and jams only – no classes, for $30)
– Friday (concerts and jams only – no classes, for $15)
-Saturday (concerts and jams only – no classes, for $15)
Also on the registration form is a boxed food option, $12 for a fish dinner Friday, and $12 for a chicken dinner Saturday, with both meals including drinks and dessert.
