The Heart Center of Auburn will hold a kickoff event for their new Mobile Clinic on Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon EST in the front parking lot of the Smiths Station Government Center, located at 2336 Lee Road 430.

Kelly Henderson, a certified registered nurse practitioner with The Heart Center of Auburn who has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, said the mobile clinic will be staffed with a nurse practitioner, administrative staff and medical assistant. They will make scheduled stops in Smiths Station, Dadeville, Roanoke and Ashland as a part of the mobile clinic’s initial route. Henderson said they are working on adding additional sites to this list for those who are unable to drive to Auburn for these services.

“It’s just like going to any medical office, except we bring the care to the patients,” Henderson said.

Services offered by the mobile clinic will include blood pressure checks, medical prescriptions and diagnostic testing as necessary for individualized cardiac care. No appointment is needed to be seen at the mobile clinic. Referrals from primary care providers are not required, but they are preferred.

The public is welcome to attend, and media are invited to cover this event.
