Martha A. Knutson, was born to the late Tommy and Martha Blanton Templeton on Dec. 3, 1955, and passed away peacefully at her home in Opelika, Alabama, on Sept. 3, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was 65 years old.
She was preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Marie Dubois and her brother Billy Templeton.
She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, David Knutson Sr. of Opelika; children, Barbie Thomas, Linda (Robert) Steele, David (Becky) Knutson Jr., Lavelle Thomas, 17 grandchildren and 1 on the way great-grandchild.
She is also survived by her sisters, Mary (Don) Stroud, Tommie Gail (Cora) Templeton, Amanda (Phil) Clark; her brother, Randy (Angela) Templeton; her sisters-in-law, Debbie Templeton, Susan (Paul) Blanton, Joy (Jim) Henry and her brothers-in-law Frank (Sharon) Knutson and Bob (Brenda) Knutson.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m..
A funeral service was held in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, at 1 p.m. Burial followed at Garden Hills Cemetery in Opelika. Brother Russell DeLee officiated.
