After more than a year without live music, Piccolo is bringing weekly jazz back beginning April 9.

Piccolo, the area’s only authentic jazz lounge, located inside The Hotel at Auburn University, will welcome regional jazz artists back to the stage every Friday night, along with a new small bites menu.

In order to accommodate social distancing guidelines, the weekly jazz events are offered as a ticketed experience, with reserved seating from 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person and experiences may be booked through aricciacucina.com or directly on the OpenTable booking page.

“We’re excited to offer live jazz again in Piccolo,” said Adam Keeshan, Food & Beverage director at The Hotel at Auburn University. “We’ve spoken to so many people who have missed being able to enjoy live music and a cocktail with us, and we’re looking forward to bringing it back in a responsible way.”

Artists will vary every week. April 9 performers include Dr. Michael Pendowski on sax, Julio Cesar Barreto on piano, Jason DeBlanc on bass and Tim Chambliss on drums.

About Piccolo

Piccolo 241 Jazz and Cocktails opened in 2009 as an authentic jazz lounge, featuring jazz musicians from across the state. The bar and lounge is a key part of Ariccia Cucina Italiana, and has become a destination of its own within Auburn. Rated the number one bar by Alabama Magazine several times since its opening, Piccolo is a great place to enjoy a cocktail before dinner or to have a quick bite from the small bite menu. A selection of 10 craft beers on tap and wines by the glass are served at the bar. Leather club chairs, a cozy fireplace and comfy banquettes serve as a relaxing getaway in a comfortable, clubby environment. Piccolo is located inside The Hotel at Auburn University.
